Functional Accountabilities

• Maintaining fixed asset register
• Physical inspection of fixed asset throughout whole country
• Daily and monthly closure activities

Maintain Fixed Asset Register:

• Improve the accuracy of fixed asset register
• Improve the control of entries within the fixed asset register
• Improve the internal control on fixed asset register
• Oversees and review the addition and deletion of fixed assets
• Maintain the proper allocation of asset on the location and custodian

• Manage the cleanup of fixed asset register
• Oversees and review the depreciation of each asset
• Review asset retirements and transfers for accuracy, including annual analyses to support retirement and/or impairment assessments.

Physical Inspection on Fixed Asset:

• Manage Physical Inspection on Fixed asset – to create a team with handle the physical inspection to each stores, warehouses, and compounds across country.
• Create and Maintain Audit trails on findings
• Create a finding report and present to higher management at least twice annually.
• To report any discrepancy of asset counting either in HQ, stores, warehouses, and compounds.

Fixed Asset Daily and Monthly Closure activities:

• Manage daily fixed assets processes to ensure accounting procedures performed by team occurs accurately and within a timely manner
• Review monthly and quarterly Fixed Assets reporting and perform variance analyses for Fixed Assets accounts.

• Oversees and review the activity on IFRS 16 – Lease
• Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets
• Record fixed asset acquisitions, additions and dispositions in the accounting system.
• To guide and follow as per Approval Matrix
• Assists the Financial Controller (FC) with monthly journal entry review and various fixed assets account analyses, as needed
• Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
• Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
• Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of/ write off
• Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries.

المهارات

Education

Minimum: Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA or CPA or CMA)

Experience, Skills & Competencies

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Financial activities
• Financial and analytical skills
• English & preferably Arabic proficiency
• Microsoft Office & Oracle
• Visio, Project, and Power point, etc.,
