Job role: Training Manager

You and Your Role

We are in search of a self-starter, generally nice and smart person to join our team in Abu Dhabi. If you’re interested in working across teams to help them execute a product strategy, be our guest.

As the Training Manager you compose tools and processes to help our teams solve the right problems efficiently.

  • Design and develop course material for the company
  • Write course outlines, making PowerPoint presentations, write course workbooks
  • Update existing material as per the clients’ and trainers’ feedback and as per our quality management requirement
  • Review training material and adapt it to clients’ requirements
  • Business Development and selling of Training courses
  • Review course reports and student feedback and implement any changes required. Review client needs and satisfaction, using this to inform and improve the curriculum offer
  • Assist on client visits in regard to technically detailed courses
  • You’re a communicator at heart.
  • You’re data-driven.
  • You have an analytical approach and like to document your findings.

We expect you to bring experience managing training development teams of 10 people or more. You also love numbers and analytics. You understand how data helps making good decisions but also know the perils of wrong metrics.

As a training manager, you have hired and developed training instructors. Your teams have grown in size over time and you’ve adapted to the shifting requirements that come with growth.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our Academic Director and Business Support Manager and with the various development teams. You support the teams in finding their sweet spot with regard to their ways of working as well as making their work transparent. You bring the product strategy perspective to the teams. Also, you’ll manage the tools we use in training and use evidence-based approaches to support the teams to maintain predictability and reliability in their delivery.

During a normal day, you’ll likely log in to enquiries, deal with training instructors in development and delivering training programs. In our remote-friendly setup you’ll use Zoom and Google Workspace for collaboration. You would use Zoho CRM to update client details.

With your help, we’ll grow the training business while maintaining a respectful and helpful spirit.

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Training Specialist or similar role
  • With 5 years of experience with designing and developing courses
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent decision making and organisational skills
  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving
  • Communication skills
  • Commercial awareness (is an advantage)
  • Knowledge of various training and teaching methods
  • Good time-management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database software
  • BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field
