By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provision of PHC services:
A) Preventive
- Medical checkup
- Family Planning Counseling
- Child growth monitoring and immunization status
- Health education provision and increase people awareness about their current health conditions and health promotion in general
B) Curative
- Medical consultation including family, medical history and full physical examination
- Management of acute and chronic conditions
- Prescription of drugs according to national/international standard treatment protocol
C) Referral
- Referral to secondary and tertiary care as needed
- Referral to Basic Rapid Diagnostic test (clinic nurse)
- Referral to clinic obstetrician-gynecologist
- Referral to a clinic health educator
Administrative:
- Fill patient clinical record file for each patient visit
- Prescribe drug on clinic prescription form
- Fill referral form for any referral case outside of clinic
Technical Assistance (TA):
- Provide TA in development of health education material and health promotion campaign as necessary
- Assist in development of Health Education Plan as necessary
- Provide advice on drug and medical supply order in coordination with clinic pharmacist
Training:
- Participate in medical and management trainings as determine by IMC senior management
- Continue self-education to adhere with national/international standards and new advancements in the field of general practice and other relevant medical areas
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Medicine.
- Minimum two years experience in a similar role
- MoH license & Education Certification
