Responsible for

  1. Developing unique and cuisine-appropriate menus
  2. Food Costing
  3. Kitchen Design & Workflow
  4. Implementing hygiene policies and examining equipment for cleanliness
  5. Performing administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders
  6. Staying current on developing trends in the restaurant industry
  7. Monitoring inventory and purchasing supplies and food from approved vendors
  8. Identifying and introducing new culinary techniques
  9. Hiring, training and supervising kitchen staff
  10. Collaborating with the Restaurant Manager to set item prices
