Description
As a Portfolio Delivery Director, you will :
Lead the implementation of projects and oversee the day-to-day delivery operations at all phasesDevelop a clear and rigorous project schedule, value, and scope management techniques, and forecast budget to ensure on-time deliveryManage project initiation and execution through scheduling of all relevant phases and work activities to ensure work optimization and execution as per budget, schedule, Health & Safety standards, and contractual requirementsOversee the effective mobilization and implementation of required systems, people, processes, and equipment as defined in the project plan developed at the start of the project throughout the project life cycleCoordinate with Development & Asset Management Division and other Delivery teams to enhance collaboration amongst them and expedite the process of review and approval of conceptual, schematic, and detailed engineering designsAct as a Center of Excellence and support delivery teams in resolving matters relating to project deliveryProvide contractors and consultants with detailed project plans and documentation at all stages of the project from initial concept to construction documentation and ensure that all the drawings and designs are clear in order to ensure projects are compliantLead the cost management and reporting at Project level on a minimum of a monthly basis.
Profile
An ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or any related field with a minimum of 20 years of overall experience and at least 3 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities. Handling portfolio of projects at a time, you must know :
Project management: Knowledge of how to initiate, plan, execute, control and close multiple projects at a timeDirect the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.Construction management: Knowledge of how to initiate, plan, organize, execute and manage the construction of of large scale mixed use projectsCost control: Knowledge of how to implement a budget starting from the Land IR, till the final cost estimate and later on the CFU (Cost Follow Up)Time line management: Knowledge of how to set a realistic time line for a construction site, and how to recognize and prevent any deviationConstruction contracts and legal issues: Knowledge of local construction and design contract types, including a basic knowledge of the most common legal issues and claims, throughout the project development and during the warranty period (post-project)Sustainable construction normsStakeholder management : managing contractors and consultants for projects
