Duties and Responsibilities.
- Provide support to Retail & Markets operations and activities, following standard processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly, the effective delivery of cash-based assistance to beneficiaries.
• Support overall retailer relationship management (RRM) function including the facilitation of retailer onboarding process, contract renewal, and performance management.
• Prepare and disseminate CBT reports prepared and disseminated to relevant stakeholders.
• Support retailer invoice processing and respond to retailers' queries, assist in the monitoring of retail payments and provide ad-hoc reports.
• Certify retailer invoices against the appropriate supporting documentation and assist in the completion of retailer performance evaluations.
• Ensure that internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained and provide technical inputs to the area offices' Retail & Market operations.
• Assist Supply Chain CBT in increasing the number of contracted shops; analyse the market saturation in the respective area of responsibility, targeting the areas where competition is needed, assisting other units in enrolling new vendors as required
• Manage coordination and communication with WFP partners on the management of retailer document collection, onboarding, and contracts.
• Oversee regular monitoring visits by WFP partners to contracted retailers regarding shop performance.
• Working daily with the retailers, performing the reconciliation of commodities and invoices.
• Conduct capacity assessments using corporate systems to identify retailers for contracting and follow up with oversight visits to the contracted shops to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, escalating actions required.
• Complete retailer performance evaluations and where necessary, implement retailer improvement plans. Deliver onboarding sessions to newly contracted retailers to ensure awareness of WFP standards and procedures. Assist in the follow-up of any complaints from the Beneficiary Hotlines and retailers and provide feedback.
• Assist in the capacity building and training of retailers in the use of Point-of-Sale machines and contribute to the management of required assets to deliver WFP operations.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Completion of secondary school education. An advanced diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, economics, and social science or a related functional area is required. A degree in the related functional area is an added advantage
Experience: At least five (5) years of relevant professional work experience in Supply Chain.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Somali is required
