What will you do in this position?
Under the direct supervision of the Head/OIC of Administration, the intern will be provided with close mentoring, guidance, and technical supervision. Performance planning and reviews as well as learning and development discussions will be key elements of the supervision. With the support of a comprehensive induction package and a buddy/mentor assignment, the intern should quickly become a productive team member.

How can you make a difference?
In this position:
- Support the preparation/enhancement of training packages and presentations for different audiences on Administration key areas of work including Travel and Protocol, Asset Management, Fleet Management, Accommodation, Facilities Management, etc.
- Support day-to-day asset management work to ensure that all assets in WFP Liberia premises are correctly reflected in GEMS (the corporate asset tracking and management tool) and that assets in GEMS are physically accounted for.
- Support the processing of local and international travels related to WFP Liberia, the provision of protocol services (visas, work permits, etc), and the response to requests/queries related to accommodation, facilities management, fleet/fuel, etc.
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and inputs to briefs, talking points, proposals, etc.
- Perform other related tasks as may be reasonably required of the position.
Deliverables:
- Selected presentations (number to be defined following on-boarding sessions) on various Administration sub-functions are prepared/enhanced.
- Support is provided to asset management.
- Local and international travels are processed; protocol support provided to travellers as needed.
- Queries and requests on various Administration areas are addressed correctly and promptly.
- Facts and figures sheet for each Administration area are prepared/updated and circulated each month to relevant staff.
- Admin reports/input to various reports (MMC, Fleet overhead, travel report, etc.) are provided fully and promptly.
- Any other deliverable will be defined as required.
Learning Elements:
- Have strong knowledge of WFP Management Services Division (MSD) corporate regulations, rules, procedures, and tools, as well as Administration processes and procedures in Country Offices.
- Have developed effective action management, customer services, reporting, and communication skills relevant to the various Administration sub-functions such as Travel and Protocol, Asset Management, Fleet Management, Accommodation, etc.
- Have a general understanding of WFP overall operations and activities in the country office, region, as well as Headquarters.

Experience:
Education:
- Be a recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme) from a recognized university and have attended classes in the last 12 months of enrolment in the university.
Knowledge & Skills
- Capacity to learn fast from documentation and experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good ability to work with a computer/laptop running the Microsoft Windows operating system, to work in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, and to learn other Windows-based applications such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
Language: Fluency (level C) in English language.
