Manager – Insurance Risk – Business Consulting – Jordan

The opportunity

We are looking for Managers to join our leading Business Consulting team to address our insurance clients key challenges and provide strategic advice. Our Manager are leaders in, and passionate about helping our clients design and deliver business transformation. Managers lead our project team’s day to day and work closely with our clients to lead, inspire and influence thinking within the project.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex business transformation workstreams comprising a mix of EY and client’s resources, with overall accountability delivering the expected outcomes to quality, time and budget
  • Gather, organise and analyse insurance industry
  • Monitor and assess the regulatory risks and ensure they comply with regulatory supervision guidelines, processes and procedures.
  • Identify emerging risk trends which could have material impact on insurance industry and prepare mitigation plan
  • Lead and manage full lifecycle implementation projects using leading practices, methods, frameworks, standards and maturity models
  • Perform desktop review / thematic review analysing companies financial and non-financial data
  • Ability to identify and address client needs, and lead client discussions and meetings and workshops
  • Lead in the design and implementation of customer-centric solutions that provide measurable impact to clients
  • Design business transformation journeys for clients, identify experiential pain points, opportunities and capabilities
  • Manage risk management initiatives including risk planning, execution and response development

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Extensive knowledge of MENA insurance regulations
  • Good understanding of economic or market issues and the ability to interpret their impact on clients
  • Possess strong interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Leverage technology to continually learn, improve service delivery and maintain our leading edge best practices
  • Strong presentation skills and proficiency in the use of PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Build an understanding of our solutions, share knowledge and be able to draw on subject matter specialists accordingly
  • Self-motivated with lots of energy and drive
  • Effective project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client presentations

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 10+ years of insurance business transformation / regulatory / process reengineering experience at a major insurer or any other consulting firm
  • Knowledge and experience of insurance regulations / business operations, exposure to regional and global insurance practices
  • Previous experience of working with or for an insurance regulator
  • Strong academic background with a bachelor’s or master’s degree ideally business or finance related supplemented ideally with a professional qualification
  • Experience of managing and developing people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring will be required
  • Demonstrate strong planning, execution and reporting skills
  • Analytical skills
