Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Wastewater Design Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to performs various engineering and design assignment related to wastewater projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

Performs various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a four-year university engineering program, and available data in the civil engineering field.
Prepares or assists in preparing fundamental engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. Assists in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.
Can undertake independent reviews of supplier drawing submittals and technical bid analyses. Assists in the preparation and issuance of specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Provides input to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project. The engineer will be required to carry out CAD related tasks while using special 3D software and model creation.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
The engineer shall be able to independently carry out designs of collection, conveyance, and disposal of wastewater networks. The engineer shall have advance experience and knowledge of preparing and developing hydraulic models for gravity network, design reports and Bentley SewerCAD / SewerGems, InfoSWMM and Infoworks CS.
Shall be familiar with load demand calculations for large private developments and/ or large government projects. Shall be conversant with Water / Irrigation / Firefighting Authority regulations such as DEWA, ADDC/ ADWEA, DM, ADM, DCD, ADCD and other relevant authorities within gulf region.
Working knowledge of planning, designing and construction of centralized and decentralized wastewater systems, including: primary secondary and tertiary wastewater treatment, passive and active systems, sewerage, pumping systems, sludge and effluent management, etc.,
Shall have basis experience in creating utility cross sections as per requirements of local authorities in the Gulf region like RTA (Dubai), DMT (Abu Dhabi), MOMRA (KSA), etc.
Preparation of technical specifications and design reports.
Shall be conversant with the British and American codes as well as DEWA / DM regulations for the design of wastewater systems.

Shall have experience of liaising with service providers agencies for obtaining NOCs and Design Approvals, etc.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

4-year degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering) and / or master’s degree in water related discipline with about 7 to 10 years of related work experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE/GCC
Working towards professional qualification (PE, CIWEM or ICE etc.)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Requires advance engineering knowledge in design of urban and industrial wastewater systems. Familiarity with CAD (Civil 3D) and other PC software packages typically associated with wet services engineering is also required.
Regional/international experience of wastewater systems design and management strategies in comparable situations.
We are looking for a team player with strong inter-personal, communication and excellent report writing skills.
Experience in on-the-job training and mentoring in wastewater design and management skills.
