Head of Information Technology
Ascot are currently hiring a Head of Information Technology to lead a team of developers & engineers to deliver products/ services in line with business requirements.
Responsibilities;
- Leading the development team in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of applications
- Managing all the activities of the software development team and set goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery
- Manage the day-to-day activities of a distributed development team focusing on backend services development
- Work with the product team to ensure the team has accurate and understood requirements
- Work with project management to ensure project status is accurate and issues are raised up quickly
- Work with the architecture team and front-end development team to design solutions and create common roadmaps
- Keep up to date with the latest development technology
- Hire and train new developers/engineers
- Provide guidance to the team and ensure they adhere to development standards
Key Requirements;
- 5+ years of hands-on software development
- 3+ years building and managing high performance software development teams
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using Jira for Agile project management.
- You have proven experience in leading development teams
- You have extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions
- You are a good mentor & coach
- You possess excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills
