AT RUM PICTURES, WE ARE LOOKING TO HIRE AN ASSISTANT COLORIST/DIT TO JOIN OUR TEAM.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES A HIGH LEVEL OF TECHNICAL SKILL AND ARTISTIC JUDGMENT.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
• To work closely with the colorist.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Managing ingests and server consolidation.
• Conforming and QC edits for the day's sessions.
• Managing and supervising project renders, assuring deliverable specifications are met completely.
• Managing and Handling DIT on set.
• Advise the director of photography on the benefits or limitations of particular set-ups, be the liaison between the set and the post-production team, create the best possible workflow between the two.
• Performing a thorough QC of all projects before and after the render.
• Transferring graded renders to hard drives or FTP servers in any format the client requires.
• Ensuring that the Colorists can work with the specified media.
• Successful completion of tasks within the set timeframe and with 100% accuracy.
• Able to work on a flexible schedule with the availability to work overtime and some weekends.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve (or any coloring tools).
• Pay attention to details.
• Able to learn from your mistakes and grow.
• Problem-solving: be able to fix kit, tech, and cable connections.
• Knowledge of cameras, file formats, storage media, and computer systems.
• understand contrast, focus, lighting, cinematography, and color, and have a good eye for grading raw footage.
• Must know the latest camera codec, color space, and file formatting specs and understand how a film set works, the roles within it, and the production process.
• Fluent in English.
