shelter Assistant -Zaatari Camp

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Roles and Responsibilities
NRC is implementing a NFI/Cash based Programme in the Zaatari/Azraq refugee Camps in Jordan, the project aim to support refugees in the camps to have improved coping strategies through the provision of adequate housing and support to their ability to meet their basic needs. The Shelter Assistant / Reception Area Assistant will be responsible for facilitating the accommodation of refugees referred to Zaatari reception area, and should have very good communication skills and able to perform well under pressure.
Generic responsibilities

- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
- Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action.
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
- Ensure proper filing of documents.
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities

- Prepare and submit daily report to relevant reception area stakeholders as assigned by the supervisor.
- Daily supervision of beneficiaries staying at the reception area as assigned by the supervisor including facilitating access for refugees staying in the reception area to basic services and flag any cases requiring further follow up with reception area partners to the supervisor.
- Daily supervision of incentive based volunteers (IBV) as assigned by the supervisor.
- Direct management of RA stock and distribution processes as assigned by the supervisor.Input information related to referrals in tracking database.
