Background
Based on partnership between Jordan Exports JE and USAID Economic Reform Activity Project ERA. We are announcing for few positions for JE to support the initiatives. JE is one of the strategic stakeholders for the Jordan Economic Reform Activity Task Order 1 (ERA TO1). ERA TO1 is a 5-year, $54 million program funded by USAID, aiming to support the Government of Jordan (GOJ) in its export-led and investment-led growth by identifying and implementing economic reform through coordination with the GOJ, trade promotion institutions, the Jordanian and international private sector, other donors, and civil society. The ERA TO 1 aspires to (1) advance economic reforms, (2) strengthen the business enabling environment, (3) increase exports and local, regional, and international investments, and (4) respond to emerging priorities.
About Jordan Exports [JE]
Jordan Exports (JE) is a public-private partnership mandated by GoJ to act as the national umbrella organization for Export Promotion and Development in Jordan. JE’s mission and goal is to establish, build and grow Jordanian goods and services in select target export markets, diversify export portfolio and assist the private sector to access and diversify its international export markets. Jordan Exports [JE] has also been mandated by GoJ to be a key implementing partner of the Industrial Development Fund which is a key pillar for supporting the export ecosystem and activities.
Overview of Job Description:
Manage all matters pertaining to grants administration, both financial and administrative, and has financial oversight and administrative responsibility for the sponsored projects. Manage and monitor grants and contracts, develop budgets for new proposals, track and update project budgets, prepare financial and program narrative reports, and process invoices.
- Prepare financial plans and developing financial models.
- Evaluate cost structures and revenue streams.
- Research and analyse business trends and prepare financial forecasts.
- Prepare budget reports and financial statements in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Perform risk modelling and quantifying results to advise strategic business decisions.
- Cooperate closely and maintain clear communication with the JE Team ensuring a teamwork environment.
- Other related duties, as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in finance, administration, and project management for international organizations.
- Have experience working with international teams or on projects involving international donors or partners.
- Have experience in project budgeting/financial management or nonprofit operations, preferably in an international development setting.
- Have experience or demonstrated interest for project level budgeting and with database management.
- Demonstrated capacity to supervise a complex financial management or general ledger system.
- Must be knowledgeable about efficient financial control and payment systems.
- Must have experience showing capability of ensuring reliable, efficient, and proportional financial control of expenditures on different levels.
- Must have good English and Arabic language proficiency, verbal and written.
