This position is under Consultancy Agreement.

Job Summary

Physician who administer anesthetics prior to, during, or after surgery or other medical procedures according to the policies of the Jordanian ministry of health ( Holding the medical license as Anesthesiologist from the Jordanian ministry of health).

Job Tasks:

1. Monitor patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications.
2. Monitor patient conditions during treatments, procedures, or activities.
3. Record type and amount of anesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure.
4. Record patient medical histories.
5. Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.
6. Implement advanced life support techniques.
7. Prepare patients physically for medical procedures.
8. Administer anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods.
9. Administer anesthetics or sedatives to control pain.
10. Examine patient, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
11. Examine patients to assess general physical condition.
12. Coordinate administration of anesthetics with surgeons during operation.
13. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment.
14. Decide when patients have recovered or stabilized enough to be sent to another room or ward or to be sent home following outpatient surgery.
15. Order laboratory tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
16. Provide medical care and consultation in many settings, prescribing medication and treatment and referring patients for surgery.
17. Refer patients to other healthcare practitioners or health resources.
18. Prescribe treatments or therapies.
19. Prescribe medications.
20. Coordinate and direct work of nurses, medical technicians, and other health care providers

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Medicine with specialization in Anesthesia and Critical Care
• Jordanian Board of Anesthesia and critical care or equivelant
• Minimum Two years of experience​
