<b>JOB PURPOSE:</b>
<br />Plan and ensure safe and efficient shift operations, allocating trucks and trailers as per demand, planning for additional manpower and material resources as required and optimizing current operations, in accordance with specifications and company policies and regulations.
<br />
<b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:</b>

<b>Operations Management</b>
<br />Manage daily shift operations, in line with departmental guidelines and rules, in order to meet demand
<br />Plan, organize and supervise all operation activities to ensure quality, compliance with applicable Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures always.
<br />Coordinate with concerned departments/divisions to ensure daily availability, avoiding any dry outs.
<br />Prepare work plans for effective and efficient operations activities, including identification of requirements such as manpower, equipment and other related logistics.
<br />Ensure all safety precautions are taken and work permits are issued before commencement of the work and the instructions are strictly followed during all stages of the work at any equipment.
<br />Regularly inspect the operations to ensure they are carried out in a safe manner and as per standards and recommendations.
<br />Conduct training periodically to all assigned team to make sure that they are familiar with modus operandi.
<br />Ensure that all jobs are carried out as per standards and recommendations in a safe manner and laid down work instructions
<br />
<b>Incident Investigation and Audit</b>
<br />Report any incidents/ accidents / equipment.
<br />Inform the Senior Operations Manager of any expected dangers or hazards which could affect work efficiency, to ensure that adequate precautions are taken on time.
<br />
<b>Maintenance</b>
<br />Coordinate with Maintenance to keep equipment in a fully operable condition at all times.
<br />Liaise with the Maintenance staff to keep trucks and trailers maintained in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program and on a required basis.
<br />
<b>Optimization</b>
<br />Analyze the current status of operations and making/implementing suggestions for improvement, in order to optimize operations and ensure delivery of work according to market standards.
<br />Collect and analyze information about status quo of operations
<br />Formulate suggestions for improvement and report to departmental leadership
<br />Contribute to the implementation of approved suggestions for improvement
<br />Collect and analyze feedback on newly implemented operations
<br />
<b>Documentation</b>
<br />Prepare and maintain documentation of all actions and enter data into necessary records and system.
<br />Prepare and submit to Senior Operations Manager the daily shift report, showing all activities on shift (including all statistics).
<br />Prepare monthly and weekly reports as required and monitor performance.
<br />Perform any other related duties as assigned by Senior Operations Manager as and when required. Stay standby on call 24 hours a day for any emergency. calls.

<b>Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent</b>

<b>6 years</b> of relevant experience

<br />Experience with leading a team
<br />
<br />Strong communication skills
