Human Resources Manager

Job Function/ Description:

  • Responsible for overall design, implementation, communication, and administration of the organization’s human resources programs.
  • Works with the HR teams on the day-to-day management of HR policies and programs such as leaves of absence, payroll issues, employee and manager inquiries, etc.
  • Supports business leaders and HR colleagues by acting as an internal consultant and advisor in the area of appropriate management and leadership practices to maintain a productive and effective workforce and ensure compliance with Jordan labor laws;
  • Works with the HR teams on planning and conducting new employee orientation to foster positive attitude and knowledge of individual performance expectations towards achieving organizational objectives and the development of performance management guidelines.
  • Oversee and enhance on-boarding processes and procedures, ensuring all newly hired employees are knowledgeable of the organization, its policies and their respective roles;
  • Serves as sounding board and mentor to employees and managers on personnel issues including, counseling, documentation, and terminations;
  • Participates in the resolution of complex employee relation issues, complaints and problems by overseeing investigations, policy interpretation, and progressive discipline;
  • Oversee and conducts employee training and employee development initiatives;
  • Advises management on compensation actions for employees – including internal and external equity;
  • Manages the performance management process and ensure adherence to key result areas by coaching the line managers;
  • Identifies need for and coordinates the development of new HR systems. Reviews existing HR systems and processes and coordinates the improvement of systems and processes to meet the need of the Jordan Programs and staff.
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions and update the org structure based on that;
  • Develops systems, and materials to support HR using industry best practices;
  • Develop programs/initiatives that are competitive in the industry and geography, and frequently benchmark “best practices” to position Blumont as an “Employer of Choice.”;
  • Assists the senior management team in the coordination and support of key HR processes and special projects;
  • Leading recruitment process and ensuring that it complies with Blumont and internal Jordan policy and aligns with Jordan Labor Law ;
  • Review and manage staff and consultant contracts, renewals, and extensions and maintain central filing system for all personnel records
  • Responsible for implementation of Success Factor in Jordan Office;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

  • BA in business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience of relevant experience with USAID, UNHCR, AFD, DFID or other international funded programs.

  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
