Datacenter & Resiliency Manager
Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Conduct the IT Business Impact Analysis exercise on behalf of BCM team for IT and Infrastructure tools and systems.
- Assess and validate the readiness of the Data Centers, DR Sites, Mini DR Sites, and Business Alternate Sites in all countries in coordination with country DR managers.
- Ensure High Availability, Resiliency, Adequate contingency and backup plans for all systems in all countries.
- Monitor country DR readiness and compliance to DR policies, and provide management dashboard reporting.
- Monitor offsite tape activities (backup job, transportation, delivery, storage conditions, and regular testing).
- Plan, build, maintain, and execute disaster recovery plans in all countries.
- Participate in developing and executing disaster recovery strategies, and alignment of DR plans to Business continuity plans.
- Coordinate with business continuity management and key IT staff members to plan, direct, control and maintain effective disaster recovery plan testing.
- Participate in managing data center and disaster recovery projects, and to coordinate the rollout of DR projects including: Always On, and DR Automation systems.
- Conduct technology research, select, acquire, and lead the implementation of disaster recovery technologies such as DR automation, and software-based replication.
- Plan and manage the annual CAPEX/OPEX budget related to disaster recovery sites in all countries.
- Provide advice to the DR teams on DR plan execution, assessment of potential service disruption, proper escalation and communication with crisis management committee.
- Develop and ensure country compliance with the DR plans, policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
- Maintain awareness of changes in DR site to maintain a high level of proficiency in business continuity and provide training on Disaster Recovery procedures
- Manage the execution and delivery of DR-related projects, budgets, and relevant vendors/consultants.
- Member of the IT Change Advisor Board (CAB), responsible to design the approved system RTOs /RPOs, approved DR scenarios, and ensuring the coverage of these scenarios for each system.
- Validate, approve and sign all new system SDLC documents, master test plans, change implementation forms, test sign off, deployment plans, SRA, SRS, SDS and compliance of these documents with DR policies.
- Review DR Sites readiness for all PLC countries, assess failover switching capabilities, process adequacy in each country to align its existing setup with the global resiliency strategy.
- Continuous improvement of the DR Failover / Switching capabilities and identification / remediation of problems that prevent meeting the RTOs and RPOs communicated by Business Continuity Management.
- Develop DR switching run books, system dependency matrices, timeframe sheets, and Orchestrate DR tests.
- Hold the orchestration role for global services DR.
- Hold the orchestration role between country DR Managers and Jordan DR manager to facilitate switching of Global Services in Jordan with dependencies hosted in countries, and Local Services in countries with dependencies hosted in Jordan.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering from a recognized University.
Experience:
- 7+ years experienced in IT of which 3 years preferred experience in DR site implementation and DR operations, and Business Continuity Planning.
- Certification in Disaster recovery / business continuity, ex. DR certified specialist/planner, ITIL.
- Project management experience, PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience in IT architecture concepts and documentation.
