Fire Protection Engineer – Estimation & Design|AFET, Dubai, UAE
verview of the role.
The design and estimation of fire fighting, fire alarm and central battery system.
What you will do
- Review the scope of work & tender document in compliance to specification and civil defence requirements.
- Preparation of bill of quantities, detailed cost estimates
- Site survey and attending the technical meeting with the client and consultant.
- Preparation of Value engineering proposal and approval from consultant/client.
- Providing technical support to sales engineers.
- Send RFQ for equipment/materials to suppliers and subcontractors. Technical evaluation of the suppliers/subcontractor bid.
- Prepare technical evaluation sheet.
- Design and preparation of shop drawings in compliance with UAE fire code and specification.
- Preparation of fire alarm/emergency light/VE/fire fighting/fire pump technical submittal.
- Calculation of Lux level, Speech Transmission Index (STI), and hydraulic calculations.

Job-Specific Skills:
- Must have relevant technical hands-on experience in system design and estimation
of CBS, VE and fire alarm system.
- Strong technical knowledge/NFPA & UAE fire code.
- Strong analytical and data analysing skill.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- BE in Electrical
- Must have Civil defence licence
- Knowledge of EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT
- Knowledge of NFPA and UAE fire code
- UAE driving license.
