ROLE PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the project manager and the technical support from the Child Protection Technical Advisor, the case manager will be responsible to identify and assess’ cases in need of individual support. This includes opening of cases and prepare all documentation; individual support through planning for response and care; referral and liaising with support services when required; monitoring, follow up and review all the cases.

SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Case manager roles and responsibilities:
The Case Manager is specifically responsible to identify and document cases and conduct comprehensive case management;
- Provide Case Management Officer with a weekly report/update on the cases covered.
- Adhere to Save the Children’s Case Management Quality Assessment Framework.
- Conduct registration and initial assessment for all OOSC “Out of school children”, at risk of dropping out, child labour, child marriage and other cases.
- Conduct BIA (including section 3) for all cases.
- Identify the child’s risks, vulnerabilities, strength and needed support.
- Identify and receive cases of at risk children facing issues such as child labor, lack of
documentation, homebound girls…
- Develop a case plan/ care plan for the child together with the child and his/her family (case plan should be developed according to the risks, vulnerability, strength and needs identified in initial assessment and BIA).
- Manage and intervene in cases according to the Standing Operating procedures through a
clear timeframe to ensure the safety of children in consideration of privacy, accountability, child’s best interest and participation.
- Monitor on-going care plan development with special attention to access to schools.
- Develop initial care plans with a stress on immediate safety.
- Establish long-term and short-term goals in case planning, to address safety and immediate
family stability.
- Ensure holistic follow up with the cases and involve caregivers and related parties to
achieve the care plan’s goals.
- Ensure that progress is regularly reviewed.
- Prioritize cases according to risk level and based on the vulnerability criteria.
- Provide regular updates and reports to supervisor as required.
- Conduct service mapping in the targeted communities and establish a documentation
system of all services in the each community for the purpose of facilitating the referral mechanism.
- Participate in staff meetings as required.
- Share monthly reports as required on the activity’s progress based on the agreed annual
plan.
- Monitor and support individuals of concerns to the children and their families through home visits, providing guidance, advice and emotional support, community mediation and referrals.
- Work with supervisors and managers to arrange case meetings for complex cases and
ensure children receive multidisciplinary support.
- Regularly document cases and follow up, by using case notes and other agreed forms, update the databases to ensure a comprehensive record of the case.
- Create a family file for each case received and file all cases according to specified criteria.
- Ensure that data collection and storage respect data protocols and confidentiality principles.
- Provide beneficiaries with information about SCJ and other services available for beneficiaries in Jordan.
- Support and supervise the case manager volunteers on regular basis.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- BA Degree in Social work, Psychologist, Counselling, Social Studies or any related field.
- Good speaking and writing skills in English and Arabic.
- At least 2 years of working experience as a case manager preferably with a child protection NGO or service provider.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently with little direction from other as necessary.
