DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assessing patients’ health histories to identify any health issues that may make vaccination unsafe.
Providing information regarding vaccines to patients, parents, and other healthcare providers.
Administering vaccines according to established guidelines from the Saudi Center for Disease Prevention (SCDP) and other organizations such as the Saudi Pediatric Association (SPA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Recording information about each patient’s vaccination history in a chart or database.
Educating patients about the risks and benefits of vaccines and other methods of disease prevention.
Coordinating with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, social workers, and pediatricians.
Maintaining accurate records of patient visits and vaccinations in an electronic medical record system.
Scheduling appointments and keeping track of patient records in order to ensure that patients receive the appropriate immunizations on time.
Performing physical examinations and collecting samples from patients who may have been exposed to a contagious disease in order to determine whether they should receive a vaccination.
Participates in CQI&PS System Control Activities, Staff Development, Environmental Safety Awareness and Fire and Safety Practices, Disaster, CPR and Infection Control.
Performs other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
