الوصف الوظيفي

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1- Participate in the daily dispensing practices (e.g. medication order review, checking unit-dose dispensing medication reconciliation) in a professional and ethical manner.

2- Assists in stock control within the pharmacies and coordinate with warehouse, clinics, nurse stations and physicians to dispense near expiry medications whenever appropriate.

3- To supervise technicians in aseptic and non-aseptic compounding including parenteral nutrition.

4- Counsel patients on the effects, dosage and route administration treatment of the drugs.

5- Respond to drug information queries in a timely and professional manner.

6- Refer pending and unresolved difficulties to senior level (e.g. Senior Pharmacist, area Supervisor or Clinical Pharmacist).

7- Help Senior Pharmacist(s) to smoothly operate the area without unnecessary delay.

8- Perform other appropriate tasks and duties are assigned within their levels of skills, abilities and knowledge.

PERSONAL QUALITIES/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Essential: Ability to work independently and handle stress appropriately.

Essential: Ability to supervise and work cooperatively with pharmacy and other department staff.

Essential: Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.

Essential: Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergency request.

Essential: Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and in written).
