Key Accountability (not-all inclusive)
Under the direct supervision of Programme Associate (ACL) and overall supervision by the Head of Programme and/or Head of Field Office in WFP Sittwe Field Office, the incumbent will perform the following duties:-:
- Conduct field visits and hold discussions with partners and the community, assess and evaluate proposals from Cooperating Partners and Project Management Committees (PMC) for the provision of Food assistance For Asset creation (FFA) and Non-food Items (NFI)
- Support the preparation of necessary documents and suggestions for Project Review Committee (PR) at WFP Field Office. Actively liaise with Cooperation Partners (CPs) and country office to facilitate the projects.
- Ensure implementation, monitoring and supervision of the projects by following relevant WFP rules guidelines, and agreed contracts to comply with technical specifications;
- Build capacities of CP staff for assessments, implementation and monitoring of the projects;
- When required, assist in cash distributions at the project sites and monitoring of sampled villages;
- Compile and continually up date the FFA progress tracking sheet and a list of completed and ongoing projects and follow up activities.
- Conduct necessary technical surveys, measurements and design of FFA projects and analyze ways for livelihood improvements and resilience building;
- Integrate behaviour change communication and nutrition best practices in FFA programming;
- Monitor FFA and projects, ensuring that relevant WFP norms are properly adopted, and supervise on-gong FFA projects to ensure that all contracts comply with technical specifications;
- Compile and continually update a list of completed and ongoing Food/Cash for FFA projects and follow up activities;
- Work closely with Cooperating Partners (CPs) to ensure that projects contribution to the long-term development of village communities;
- Update FFA database and prepare progress tracking sheet for CO submission;
- Support the Programme Associate and Finance team at Field Office level to prepare quarterly budgets for SO2-Activity 4 implementation.
- Submit FFA/NFI monthly report to the supervisor and Head of Programme/ Head of Office;
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
Experience: Five or more years of working experiences in Programme Management, Operation Mapping, Emergency Rapid Assessment/Response and Coordination with Stakeholders.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English, Myanmar, local dialect and knowledge of local language is an asset.

- Has facilitated communication with technical teams (i.e. nutrition, VAM, etc.).
- Has contributed to implementation of programmes.
- Has observed or assisted with policy discussions.
