Energy Manager
EFS Facilities Services is looking for an Energy Manager to join our growing team in Amman, Jordan. We’re seeking an unconventional thinker and negotiator by nature to collaborate effectively with clients and all levels of stakeholders to develop solutions and ensure satisfaction. Job Summary:
Provide technical support in areas such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, building control systems, chillers, and chilled water distribution, boilers and steam distribution, utility metering, lighting, emergency power, data centers, life-cycle cost assessments.
Responsibilities:
· Manage all aspects of contracts, including scope development, proposal writing and budgeting, project execution, budget tracking and supervising staff.
· Complete a comprehensive review of all information received from the client and provide a summary to the General Manager.
· Maintain all manner of client activity reports for team meetings and ensure regular team meetings are scheduled.
· In partnership with the Facility Managers lead the team in providing the highest levels of service to clients with whom they interact, whether internal or external, with the goal of continuously improving the client experience and satisfaction.
· Provide clear and concise reporting of all energy and sustainability activities, metrics (cost savings, CO2, water, etc.), and achievements on prescribed intervals or as requested by client
· Work with all levels in a constructive fashion to drive results and innovate processes in a fast-paced environment.
· Expand energy market business with existing and new clients.
· Provide market insights and analytically-based analyses of energy policies and markets with particular emphasis on natural power and renewable sector.
· Lead projects addressing power supply-demand balance on national, regional, state and utility-specific basis.
· Audit various facilities for energy efficiency, inspect buildings with local and federal energy laws in mind to ensure they adhere to all regulations, monitor buildings in order to identify areas where energy is wasted or energy efficiency needs improvement, analyzing utility usage in order to develop conservation projects.
· Create and oversee the implementation of short and long-term projects and strategies that increase energy efficiency and minimize unnecessary consumption.
· Implement energy-related cost-saving measures, calculate the budget and project energy savings, and identify the goals for each project.
· Create and monitor the utility budget through energy audits and the development of energy saving strategies, which includes calculating current energy costs as well as the potential savings of upcoming projects.
· Prepare formal proposals for all new projects, including projected costs and energy savings.
· Prepare reports and status updates for all current projects, regular utility consumption data reports and documentation of results for completed projects.
· Perform any other activities arise or assigned by direct manager.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management or any related field.
· Professional Certification is a plus: PMP, PMI, AP, USGBC, BPI, WELL, SCEM
· Professional Certification is a Must: LEED, CEA, CEM, CMVP
· 8 – 12 years of work experience with minimum five years in a managerial position.
· Experience of working for facilities management, renewable energy, or comparable experience.
· Diplomatic consultation skills and robust negotiation skills.
· Advanced knowledge of energy utility systems
· Good commercial awareness within the FM industry.
· Good level of interpersonal and communication skills. Fosters and develops beneficial partnerships.
· Provide high level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Prompt response to all queries.
· Excellent time management skills and able work to strict deadlines. High level of self-motivation and able to work with minimal supervision.
· Fluent English language ability both spoken and written.
