JOB PURPOSE
Under the administrative supervision of the Country Director (India) and overall supervision of the Travel Manager, MSDA, WFP HQ and under the direct supervision of the Team Leader in the GSS-Travel Unit in New Delhi office, the incumbent of the position will be responsible to perform the following duties:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Accounts reconciliation:
• Perform accounts reconciliation of travellers and vendors.
• Review all Travel Documents and claims related to travel for staff worldwide.
• Respond to queries from a variety of sources by providing information, advice and guidance on rules and regulations related to area of work.
• Perform other related duties as required.
Data Management:
• Retrieve data from WFP’s co-operate travel system to generate financial statistics.
• Analyse and interpret pertinent data, identify, and resolve data discrepancies and provide accurate analysis as requested.
• Develop and implement data extraction procedures to integrate data from various sources like SharePoint, Excel, into a warehouse/data.
• Utilize strong database skills to work with large, complex data sets to extract insights.
• Help identify and implement process automation opportunities.
• Advanced to expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Develop and implement best practices for master data management – working in collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with others and demonstrated collaborative skills.
• Integrate and explore large data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights
• Collaborate in global team with a high degree of professionalism, and with colleagues and clients from different cultures
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of secondary school education. First level university degree particularly in Finance, Administration, knowledge of reports and dashboard would be an added advantage.
Experience: Four or more years of progressively responsible work experience in data analysis and reconciliation.
Knowledge: Training and/or experience utilizing computers, including word processing, spreadsheet, and other WFP standard software packages (ERP system). General knowledge of UN system, policies, rules, regulations and procedures in the area of entitlement travel, administration
systems are desirable.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and working knowledge of Hindi.
EXPECTED RESULTS
The candidate should with initiative and judgement produce organized, accurate and well documented records with well analysed data and addresses unforeseen situations seeking advice and guidance from supervisor, as necessary. Proven ability to work in stressful environments will be considered an advantage.

The candidate should have the ability to review a variety of data, identify and adjust data discrepancies. Identify and resolve operational problems with substantial independence. Ability to obtain or give factual information of a non-routine nature involving interpretation of facts and requiring clarity of expression. Ability to perform detailed work, frequently of a confidential nature and/or to handle a large volume of work systematically, effectively and accurately.
Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate assignments to achieve common goals. Ability to deal patiently and tactfully with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Ability to work in stressful conditions.
