To always wear the PPE’s during work and ensure co-workers also wear it. Complete all check sheets for MHE’s- fork lift , Hubtex, cranes; Lifting devices – chain and web slings , D shackles , Swivel
Hook , spreader bar and with correct physical verification. Comply with the PM schedule of all these equipment.
Maintain good housekeeping and 5 S in the loading bays and warehouse.
To check “A” frame, container floor / condition before loading and complete legibly the PDI –pre dispatch inspection sheet.
To check all the pneumatic tools and fill legibly the check sheet.
To guide the truck driver in placing properly the trailer / container in the loading dock.
To achieve the shift output of loading / unloading, bracing and tarpaulin covering, following the work instructions and SOP.
To check the box/pile before loading for any breakage, loose packing, poor box condition. In situations where is box or pile is tilted or about to fall – operator to have a cool mind, inform his superior and request for 3.9 help.
Inspection of cases stored in Warehouse and Shipping before Racking, pre staging etc.
Implement Lean Initiatives, 5S and other developmental activities in his area.
Ensure there is no property damage by any operator
To train other operators in crane and shipping operations.
To take and give a good charge from reliever – mentioning all important points, safety or equipment issues.
Identifying and Reporting of Near miss/Unsafe act/Unsafe condition and reporting.
Responsible for proper handover to his reliever
Perform other task directed by immediate superior or Management.
