We work in more than 100 countries, using our capital, expertise, and influence to create markets and opportunities in developing countries. In fiscal year 2022, IFC committed a record $32.8 billion to private companies and financial institutions in developing countries, leveraging the power of the private sector to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity as economies grapple with the impacts of global compounding crises. In the past few years, IFC has embarked on an ambitious new growth strategy (IFC 3.0) to stimulate more investment activity, especially in low-income countries and fragile and conflict-affected situations. This strategy calls for generating our own opportunities by proactively working “Upstream” to create, deepen, and expand markets and to imagine, design and implement investment projects. To support IFC’s activities in the Middle East, Türkiye and Central Asia, Afghanistan and Pakistan (MCT region) as well as in Europe (“EUR”), the IFC Legal Department is recruiting a Legal Analyst, to be based in Amman, Jordan. We are looking to enrich our Jordan hub with a talented legal team, and the Legal Analyst will be an important member of that team, fully integrated and interacting very closely with our other regional legal and business teams in Istanbul, Dubai and Vienna, as well as teams in other regions and in Headquarters/Washington D.C.
