The Business Unit Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day cafe operations amongst our locations; maintaining all standard operating procedures and fostering a positive working environment. The person in this role creates the tone and personality of the cafe and team by being an advocate and promoter of training and development, customer service, relationship extension, product knowledge, department of health and sanitation adherence, and values alignment amongst team members. This individual will also work closely with each General Manager/Supervisor and Director of Hospitality.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

₋ Monitors and manages store staffing levels to ensure partner development and talent acquisition to achieve and maintain store operational requirements at the associate manager and hourly partner levels.

₋ Utilizes existing tools to identify and prioritize communications with the store team. Communicates clearly, concisely, and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations across all of the zones.

₋ Creates total store implementation plans based on trend analysis and local market knowledge to ensure effective execution of Roasteries & Reserve program initiatives that achieve both operational excellence and business results.

₋ Follows up consistently with team of associate managers to ensure accountability to plans.

₋ Develop and agree annual plan, associated budgets and sales strategies, monitor performance against this, initiating corrective action where necessary to ensure operations are conducted within the agreed financial parameters and targets are achieved.

₋ Develop and put in place appropriate policies and procedures to cover key areas of retail sales activity and ensure effective systems are in place for monitoring compliance with established store and service standards.

₋ Identify malls and appropriate outlet space for the establishment of new stores, prepare proposals and close deals in order to set up and open stores as per plan.

₋ Identify and develop strategies towards revenue from institutional sales through effective networking, develop and implement appropriate strategies in areas of promotions, special offers, events, etc. thereby achieving planned revenue targets.

₋ Manage the brand image of the store/ product, develop and implement all chain and brand marketing activities to establish and grow the brand in the market.

₋ Analyze the market and the local consumer tastes and preferences and customize the offered eateries to suit local requirements (while staying within international standards).

₋ Manage and control all aspects of stock management within the outlets, ensure adherence to procedures thereby minimizing stock accumulation/ loss. Prepare and submit necessary reports on sales and costs budgets and forward the same to the Directors as required.

₋ Manage the training, development and motivation of staff and ensure that the outlets are staffed with the requisite numbers and caliber of staff to meet its objective and that all staff are encouraged to maximize their capability and contribution.

المهارات

₋ Bachelor in Business Administration or related field.

₋ Master’s degree in Business Administration would be an advantage.

₋ Very familiar in retail business.

₋ Has previously experience with leading coffee machines (Preferred Nespresso) and coffee production.

₋ Very familiar in roasting industry.

₋ Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the same or related field.

₋ Experience supervising others.

₋ Available to work flexible hours, which could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

₋ Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

₋ Customer oriented.
