Key Accountabilities

Provide leadership in deployment and management of the bank's point-of-sale network and e-commerce platform apart from other merchant acceptance solutions, products and services. To strive towards product excellence through a process of research and analysis with the objective of creating a multi-channel, multi-product card and wallet acceptance programs, which is unrivalled in the market thus supporting acquisition of merchant and volume growth initiatives with a view towards expansion in revenue base. Manage, enhance and monitor all business support related functions of the unit thus enabling front end of the unit to focus on market place. Ensure efficient and high-quality technical services are provided to CB merchants, handle merchant complaints management, manage risk related aspects of the business portfolio including chargebacks and fraud with the aim of keeping losses within the set industry standards. The job is expected to identify new trends in the cards acceptance space and align the business roadmap with the same. This is to be achieved by liaising with key stakeholders to implement new technology initiatives from both strategic as well as tactical perspective and also assist the cards business in meeting future challenges. Work with internal stakeholders to meet cards business requirements related to merchant acquiring. As a Manager-Business Acquiring, the jobholder is also expected to prepare, manage all areas related to internal as well as external audit (schemes and partners). The jobholder should is also responsible for managing a team consisting of business support, customer service and also the technical support team. The jobholder is also responsible for ensuring compliance to the country’s regulator and also bank’s policies. The manager is also expected to identify risks if any in the existing processes or new process introduced and work with internal stakeholders to put a mitigant in place in compliance with the regulatory requirements and bank’s internal policies. Introducing acquiring product management and executions. Complete management of POS stationary and inventory while ensuring cost saving in every area of the merchant acquiring business. The jobholder will also manage ,maintain and achieve the set business support turnaround time.

Other Accountabilities

  • Oversee administrative/technical support /complaint management to merchant services to ensure business meets the customer demand and they stay loyal to the bank.
  • To own, manage, and enhance all back-end processes necessary for smooth functioning of the business unit
  • Identify and adopt market best practices from other regions to bring efficiencies in product delivery and supporting processes, thus improving overall merchant experience
  • Assist business to comply with internal policies, procedures and card scheme, QCB regulations and requirement complies with established SOP’s
  • Determine the direction /roadmap pertaining to new technologies and initiatives to keep pace with the advancement in card payment space
  • End-to-end implementation of new innovative products/ideas, system changes, business projects or any other business requirements
  • Launch & manage innovative customized industry specific payment solutions to fuel growth engines
  • Assisting New terminal certification
  • POS terminal management – periodically clean-up and manage the POS terminal operations
  • Assisting all Card Scheme Certification
  • Work on implementation of successful integrated ECR POS solution for merchants
  • Cost Savings through series of cost reduction measures i.e. changes in existing process/systems, re-negotiating existing contracts/pricing with vendors/partners ensuring that they are signed in line with all the bank’s policies and business goals.
