Job Description and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

Successful candidate is expected to carry out procurement of assigned packages on the a large scale Operating Facilities – Maintenance Buyer

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that all procurement activities are carried out in accordance with Air Products / JIGPC Policies & Procedures.

Key responsibilities:

Perform procurement of equipment packages assigned by the PPM in accordance with company’s policies, procedures and code of conducts, to ensure the following:

  • RFQ Process is fair, open and ethical
  • Review material requisition (technical package) to ensure the quality of the package before releasing RFQ to vendors.
  • Ensure applicable T&Cs are communicated to vendors along with RFQ package.
  • Float enquires through company portal & receive bids
  • Act as SPOC to clarify all TQs between Engineering/Specifier & Vendors during RFQ stage.
  • Attend technical meetings with stakeholder to access & understand the technical evaluation criteria.
  • Negotiate commercial T&Cs with short-list vendors
  • Perform overall commercial negotiation with vendors
  • Ensure time placement of all orders on the project as per project’s schedule.
  • Regularly analyse categories of spend to determine potential opportunities regarding cost optimization.
  • Coordination with internal stakeholders throughout the procurement life cycle.
  • Ensure regular status update of all ongoing activities as well as overall procurement reporting through company’s tool, to Project Procurement Manager.

SKILLS

  • Must have Strong SAP & MS Office Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Strong sourcing & negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of local vendor’s base
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Must be Fluent in English

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred) with 10 to 15 years of Experience.
  • Supply Chain Certification (advantage)

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • Must have worked on large Oil & Gas Operating Facilities
  • Must have experience to procure high-value equipment, bulk material, consumables for large scale Oil and Gas Operating Facilities from major operators.
