Payroll Officer

Overview

Responsible for all payroll related tasks, which include collecting and reviewing employee information and hours worked, calculating payroll, and preparing and processing employee payments, while maintaining the accuracy of payroll.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Compile, calculate, and enter data in a payroll system.
  • Ensure all payroll information is up to date and accurate.
  • Lead the tax and other government contributions payables by calculating employee income tax, all government employee-employer contributions and other benefits.
  • Ensure that salary, withholding taxes and government contributions comply with regulations.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies, payroll processing issues and any issue that may arise throughout the process.
  • Prepare and send pays lips monthly and semi-monthly to all employees and prepare all payroll related documents as needed.
  • Maintain timely and accurate payroll operations by setting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Answers employee questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and timesheet records.

Skills

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, HR or any related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the same field.
  • Good knowledge of labor legislations in Jordan and KSA.
  • Detail -oriented, professional attitude and reliable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
