Key Function
· To be responsible for the entire functioning of STI –Middle East Operations-Land, Air & Sea Freight including customs & clearance related matters.
· To strengthen relationship with our Customer, namely McDonald & ensure full customer satisfaction & appreciation of STI business operations
· To guarantee the achievement of the financial, qualitative and activity objectives (commercial development, optimizations and projects) of STI
· Responsible for creating & streamlining standard operating procedures to support service levels

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in RFP’s and submits pricing proposals
· Leads & oversees day to day operations of the department
· Works with Freight Manager to provide support in growth initiatives in line with STI business strategy
· Guarantees the qualitative aspect of operations (quality of service)
· Develops and updates operating procedures for the team on a periodic basis
· Ensures the achievement of the STI operations economic objectives in line with budgets
· Innovates in its field and manages the corresponding projects
· Manages people (daily management, development needs of team, coaching/mentoring & training) in conjunct
· Ensures communication within the department (daily, meetings of service)
· Enforces the internal regulations and the various company agreements
· Formulate commercial offers
· To participate in the GOFC tender process by submitting reports, details and service requirement to the online tender platform
· Sharing Information, participate and lead GOFC working groups to deliver results as per the customers’ requirements
· Operations and Pricing with shipping lines.
· To review and audit costs and reports related to jobs ongoing.
· To ensure process and data gathering reports are being updated by the team on a regular basis.
· Leads & participates in commercial visits set up meetings with Potential Accounts
· Builds strong customer relationships
Qualifications
Behavioral Competencies
· MBA or Bachelors with Supply Chain/Freight Diploma
· Minimum 7-8 years in Freight industry
· Must have Freight Operations experience
· Must have Freight Operations know-how
· Must have Customs & Clearance knowledge
· Must have exposure in GCC/Middle East
· Leadership ability
· Ability to take on challenges
· Strong negotiation skills & commercial acumen
· Fosters an environment for strong team development and continuous improvement
· Can prioritize and focus on critical issues
· Communicates clearly at all levels
· Commitment to workplace health and safety
Technical Competencies
