Position Summary:

Under the direct management of the supply chain and operations manager with the technical link with regional IT coordinator, The IT technical support officers monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organization. As an IT technical support officer, you'll install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and application problems, either over the phone or in person.

Scope of Work: During the Contracting Period, Contractor shall provide the following services to Relief International (deliverables should be measurable):

  • User Management and Troubleshooting
    • Provide Remote day-to-day technical support and guidance to local users, the total number of users from 50-80 User.
    • 2 visits per week and during the working day to Amman office in order to check network and support with any other required services can’t perform remotely.
    • Monthly visit to the Azraq and Zaatari camp to check and assess the need.
  • Endpoint maintenance
  • Follow the RI IT policies to configure and setup workstations and laptops to include all RI official software under the “RI Computer Standards” policy, and coordinate with GSO IT manager to manage the software licensing for Jordan office.
  • Maintain local IT equipment inventory and help local Operations department to keep tracks of all assignment activities.
  • Perform monthly maintenance on user’s computers to ensure all of software is up to date and all the endpoint management, security protection, and backup solution are running correctly.
  • Ensure that all IT equipment is in good working condition.
  • Assist in preparing equipment maintenance & disposition plan.
  • Ensure that internet services in all locations are working well.
  • Ensure the RI networks are protected from intrusion, malware or other hacking activities.
  • Enforcing “RI Internet Usage” policy to block any illegal activities in the RI networks.
  • Network administration
  • IT Policies and Staff Training
    • Help to provide guideline to users to follow any existing IT policies.
    • Help GSO IT to carry out new IT policies to local users.
    • Assist and coordinate with the GSO IT team to train local users on new technical solutions.
  • IT Procurement
  • Review and ensure that IT equipment PRs have correct specification under the “RI Computer Standards” policy.
  • Assist local Operations department to identify and maintain relationship with local IT vendors.
  • Perform other IT duties as per the need and as assigned by supervisor

Consultancy Deliverables:

  • Monthly Report of all the performed task

Qualifications & requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Active Directory, Firewall, Router/Switch configuration and wireless network
  • Expert Knowledge of Windows XP/Vista/7/8, and Office 2007/2010/2013
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and etc.
  • Knowledge of Network Security, LAN/WAN architecture, VoIP
  • Knowledge of Cisco solutions, especially Cisco Unified Communication system is plus
  • Knowledge of Team Viewer, Remote Desktop Connection, and VPN
  • Knowledge of commonly used web browsers including IE, Firefox, and Google Chrome
  • Knowledge of web programming is plus
