The role is primarily to support the running of the plant. He would service and repair machinery and equipment he need a combination of strong technical and practical skills, as well as good eye-hand coordination.
Electrical technician help create, maintain and repair the electronic/electrical components and equipment used in any equipment or device that involves electricity.
He has to work in coordination with other electrical technicians and electrical shift engineers
Perform Electrical /Electronic repairs of the components and other duties as directed by the Electrical shift leader.
Qualified for working with electrical systems and codes.
Knowledge of electrical standards for Installation, repairs and electrical safety.
Finding and fixing faults and recalibrating instruments
Carry out maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of electrical equipment's.
Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the electrical power distribution system like 11KV substation, Ring main unit (RMU) & Low voltage (440 Volt) systems.
Repair and maintain engine generators and carry out work on related control circuit equipment
Install, replace and repair electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels. He must have knowledge to work with VFD & PLC system along with electronic switches, sensors & instruments.
Responding immediately to machinery breakdowns also should be able to troubleshoot, isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems, remove, and replace faulty parts.
He should be able to perform all maintenance activity as per SOP as well as Preventive measures such as greasing of motors checking of field instrument and panels.
He must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.
Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other electrical testing equipment, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Repairing or replacing items such as gaskets, compensators, seals, switches, circuit breakers, various motors, starters, and conducting fault finding procedures are part of an electrical technician's tasks
Maintaining tools and equipment, so that they are in a safe working condition as well as making sure that the workplace is in safe environments at all times.
Always adhere to Technical procedures and SOP, work in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with 5S.
Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards.
Possess the ability to understand and interpret engineering and circuit drawings and manuals.

10 yrs. of the schooling.
Certified course for Industrial electrician/wire man.
EOT Crane operating experience will be plus.
Minimum 10 yrs. working experience of Electrical & Automation Maintenance for SAW Pipe Plant or similar.
He should have hands-on experience for Electrical Maintenance techniques and ensure that all maintenance activity and workmanship are of the highest standard.
Working knowledge of Transformers, Switchgears (Medium voltage & Low Voltage), Motor control centre panel, Programmable logic controller (PLC) & Variable frequency drives (VFD), Welding power source/ wave & SCADA (Supervisory control & data acquisition) is essential.
Must have good knowledge of condition monitoring system.
