Job Description
Plans and directs all aspects of GCCIA market operations functions.
Overseeing of the power trading platform project – GCC Power Exchange
Summarized
· Develops policies and procedures for market processes in order to ensure optimization and compliance with established standards and Agreements
· Develop power trade agreements and ensure alignment
· Develop strategies and policies to promote power trade and increase of GCCIA trade- related revenues
· Monitor and ensure application of Policies and Procedures for every subordinate function
· Ensure communication and strong coordination with Operations to ensure efficiency and sound customer service
· Monitor the market and assess potential customers
· Ensure the development of the agreement
· Monitor and follow up on trade
· Manage the project of the GCC Power Exchange by securing key elements – support of stakeholders, development of the regulatory environment, development of the procedures and IT systems necessary to increase the liquidity of GCC power markets
· Identify and implement actions that can increase the market liquidity in the markets operated by GCC PX;
· Participate and lead any business development projects from GCC PX or where GCC PX will participate – be the “GCC PX project management officer”;
· Follow the various regional and national projects in the Gulf region to ensure that the offerings from GCC PX are in line with the local and regional requirements;
· Support in the development of the national power markets in the member states where applicable;
· Participate in any coupling and cross-border initiatives to expand the GCC area;
· Represent GCC PX in national and international conferences;
- Set and manage department budget
- Ensure the department’s adherence to the code of conduct

Educational Qualifications & Certifications
· Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Electrical Engineering
· MBA is a plus
