The Role:
The Assistant Merchandiser will be providing support to the Merchandisers on daily operational, trading and merchandising activities which includes, but not limited to, monitoring and management of the timely arrival of the stocks into the stores, covering retail activities such as allocation, analysis, reporting and tracking. This are for the Go Live support team where you will have the opportunity to work in a brand supporting them ahead of and just after their Core Merchandise Toolkit Go live and then will have the opportunity to move to another Brand. Its a great opportunity to get exposure to the breadth of Brands in our business.

Some of the key performance areas and responsibilities of an assistant merchandiser is to
Responsible to perform all allocation activities accurately as required to deliver sales plan and product strategyAssess the quality of allocation and how the stores are performing based on sales and other KPIs including the execution of stock building during peak trade periodsWork with Business Governance team to ensure the right parameters on allocation, channel clustering, size scaling output performed by Business Governance Specialists.Proactively manage and enrich data in system/tools.Support Merchandisers by providing automated reports and analysis of historical performance, sales, margin, profit etc Recommend actions to be taken through the Allocation solution based upon store performance.Support Merchandisers in ensuring the successful opening of new stores as part of the brand expansion plan. (focusing on, but not limited to, ensuring stock is available and sufficient at new stores) Track and update price files, including promotion and mark down.Perform store stock balancing (including stock transfers).Provide support to stores including fixing stores related issues, to escalate issues surrounding product and stock related mattersCommunicate and liaise with warehouses on information regarding new arrivals and ensure shipment arrives on time.Execute Return to Vendor activities in the system.Review automated documentation of invoices are in orderBuild and maintain an effective and strong relationship with peers and internal customers to foster collaboration
Qualification and experience
Relevant bachelors degree, with retail experience preferredIdeal 1 to 2 years of working experience in retail; any retail allocation, retail sales or merchandising experience desirableDesire to build career in merchandising
Skills and competencies (preferred)
Demonstrates good communication skillsPossess good level of business acumen Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills expected of at an assistant merchandiser levelDemonstrates qualities such as ambitious, desire to learn, driven and collaborative
