Duties and Responsibilities

Conducting Engineering geophysical field assessment activities.

Delivering project assignments on time and on budget, consistently exceeding client expectations.

Field trouble – shooting and equipment maintenance.

Contributing to ACES standards and practices for data management

Receive and verify worksheets and equipment.

Ensure equipment is maintained, detect irregularities, and arranged for repairs when required.

Conduct pre-project planning before going on site.

Decide on the optimum geophysical method to be used that will suit the site conditions.

Use computers for data management, quality control, and communication between the office and field locations.

Design, test, modify, and repair geophysical equipment.

Adapt data collection procedures.

Interpret and report on collected data to the team, clients, senior managers or partners at meetings and presentations.

Compile charts and reports.

Write documentation and work logs.

QA/QC of Engineering Geophysics Data

Initial data processing for the Engineering Geophysics data.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Bachelors/Masters in Geophysics having a minimum of 6 years Experience in Engineering Geophysics

Professional Knowledge

Skills & abilities

Ability to communicate effectively in English & Arabic orally and in writing.

Requires strong interpersonal skills in communication, priority setting, decision-making, and innovation.

Knowledge of the principles and problems involved in planning, and managing employees and resources.

Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret complex data.

Should have handsome knowledge and expertise of Engineering Geophysical Methods including MASW, ERT, Borehole Geophysics, Microgravity e.t.c

Should know the basics of data Processing of Engineering Geophysical Methods.

Ability to communicate with strong interpersonal skills such as tact, active listening, respect, and calmness.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple programs, projects, and tasks.
