Junior Marketing Officer

THE JUNIOR MARKETING OFFICER:

Shall be responsible for the provision of tactical and strategic support to Senior Marketing Officer and Services Director through all phases of the Marketing and PR processes: research, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for ensuring the production of marketing and communications materials and promotional publications and events in line with the Campus vision and adopted marketing policies and plans.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development of marketing campaigns and setting up budget allocations for required marketing activities.
  • Evaluate campaigns data and report back to management regarding the success of the marketing activities.
  • Gather market data and analyze results in relation to the Campus’s marketing plans to be used in rankings and other forms of market analysis.
  • Ensure compliance within the policies and procedures of the Project.
  • Assist in the creation of social media accounts and Campus website.
  • Assist the development of strategies to increase following base on the social media accounts.
  • Constantly update of the Campus website and social media accounts.
  • Update information about Campus on external websites and directories.
  • Assist in the development of Marketing KPI’s for measuring success.
  • Manage the stock of all marketing collateral and identify when stock needs to be replenished.
  • Liaise with academic and administrative staff to request and collate information for in-house publications.
  • Conduct researches for PR purposes and writing of press releases.
  • Maintain a photo library and arranging external photo shoots and filming with placement students and alumni as well as in-house photo shoots with staff and students.
  • Liaise with the advertising agency, designers and printers (in-house and external) and provide assistance with proofreading.
  • Coordinate Campus participation at exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
  • Coordinate annual graduation and prize-giving.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least (1) years’ experience.
  • Excellent organization, administration, time management, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to meet tight, conflicting deadlines when required.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English– oral and written.
  • Fast learner with an ability to adapt techniques based on requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles
  • Good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods
