Position Summary:
Universal Cold Stores – Prime, is actively recruiting for an experienced Information Technology Manager who has the technological skills to make us even more efficient. This person will analyze current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of network maintenance, experience as a manager, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. The IT manager will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our operations and a long-term impact on our overall growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following:
Responsibilities
· Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions
· Ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs, using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitor solutions
· Analyze processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement
· Prepare cost–benefit analyses when upgrades are necessary, and monitor vendors to ensure that they’re offering the best-possible service and value for business needs
· Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed
· Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain an IT roadmap
- Manage annual IT budget and ensure cost effectiveness
- Oversee all phases of projects from conception to completion
- Serve as the technical lead or project manager for system implementation projects
- Bring consistency to project execution and life cycle management of systems
- Manage all aspects of the implementation and operation of information and functional systems for the organization, including software applications, network, phone systems and end-user computers
- Manage vendor software solutions including developing and monitoring software, maintenance plans, and developing and ensuring adherence to contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- required; Master’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of experience managing technology and information resources
- Experience providing strategic IT direction.
- Proven track record in designing systems architecture and executing systems integration
- projects.
- Experience in managing groups of analysts and developers working on complex system
- projects to meet deliverables with tight timeframes.
- Ability to communicate with, and support the technological requirements for internal and
- external clients. Strong operational, organizational and negotiation skills required.
- Proven project management skills, including experience managing technology vendors and
- vendor relations. Experience designing and monitoring technology service level agreements
- Retail background and knowledge of both the public and private sectors preferred.
