They are currently looking for a Landscape Architect to be based in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for steering consultants to achieve proposals in line with procedures, creating estimates for resourcing as may be needed and establishing and monitoring budgets
- Prepare layered, visual representations of works/ projects/ support documentation and presentations, review consultants work, present to proponents, edit and fit changes as required in design progression.
- Input too and support the management team in daily tasks as required.
- Contribute too and manage consultant deliverables.
- Lead meetings as required.
- Inspect project sites over the duration of any final project, and make changes to the existing design as necessary.
- Stay current on relevant practices and landscaping trends by engaging in continued research and education
- Oversee and input to planting schedules and wider specifications writing.
- Collaborate with company regulatory committees and stakeholders with Snr LA and Project Managers
- Inform/ update design works and strategies in alignment with company's environmental policies and procedures.
- Support both Project Director and the Senior Landscape Architect in studio management and delivery.
- Prepare/ assist with SoW, RFPs, specifications, BoD reports, strategies, guidelines and related documentation
- Input to management and production of design manuals, design documents as may be necessary
- Manages preparation of and checks materials schedules and sample boards and mock-ups
- Input to and oversight of contract administration as required
- Input to schedules and programmes in line with milestones and deliverables
- Ability to solve design issues in a creative and pragmatic way with consultants and management team
- Manage communication, coordination, and management of consultants, contractors, and various departments/sectors
- Oversee the production of deliverables in accordance with company standards, policies and procedures
Qualification & Requirements:
- 9+ years of post-graduate design and management experience
- Fluency in all phases of site and landscape design in a multi-discipline environment
- Experience in the preparation of construction documents, and construction administration for landscape architecture projects.
- Thorough knowledge of landscape architectural construction techniques and detailing.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office (and others).
- Experience with large scale projects and coordination.
- Experience designing streetscapes, urban plazas, public realm and open spaces, and working transit facilities.
- Experience with master planning, land use and transportation planning desirable.
- Proven experience in studio practice, including management of international design consultants across disciplines
- Varied design experience across development types: residential, commercial, public, healthcare, educational, industrial etc.
- Construction experience required.
- Understanding of financial and commercial management of projects.
- Understanding of risk management and ability to communicate same.
- Understanding of scope definition and scope interface and ability to communicate same to others
- Knowledge of international standards, policies, codes and procedures
- Knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements
- Excellent conceptual and design skills.
- Fluent in writing and speaking English.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, communicating with clarity, purpose and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
