Job Description and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Purpose

To be part of Site Quantity Surveying team on all aspects relating to commercial activity of NEOM GHE project.

To develop and maintain symbiotic working relationships with members of the Project Controls, Planning, Procurement & Sub-Contracts.

To assist Project Controls Team & Project Controls Manager in efficiently managing both pre and post award construction quantity estimation and calculation activities during project execution for Construction Packages.

Nature and Scope

The position is Site based at our prestigious project in Saudi Arabia at our Air Products NEOM GHE Project site and work with Site Team for all the Commercial/Quantity Surveying activities of Civil Engineering works of the project.

DIMENSIONS

Project Commitment (approximate): Contract for a period of Thirty-six Months

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountable for the activities of quantity surveying duties and provide guidance to other members of the team and report to Project Controls Manager/ Project Director, as required

Contribute to the management and maintenance of a contract cost reporting & Progress measurement system, ensuring all financial information is managed and up-to-date and tracked with budget/tender allowances, commitments and deviations highlighted and managed

Produce and provide accurate forecasts of project cost to completion and final value

Continually monitor projected costs to completion in line with budget

Assist in ensuring effective records are maintained to support claims and that applications for payment for variations are issued in a timely manner.

Provide accurate monthly reporting of cost and value on the project in line with the Company’s

reporting process.

Be responsible for the preparation and agreement of final accounts

Agree and resolves final accounts with sub-contractors

المهارات

Civil Quantity Surveyor specialized in CMEI – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation works with minimum of 10+ Years’ experience in Saudi Arabia as Construction Quantity Surveyor with experience in civil works and coordination of the efforts of all parties involved in the execution of a specified project or range of projects in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Industry would be preferred.

The following qualities/experience are essential:

Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law and various forms of Conditions of Contract
Detailed knowledge and understanding of tendering and procurement processes
Significant knowledge of construction techniques
Knowledge and understanding of sub-contracting principles, together with the ability to draft and administer subcontracts
Ability to implement procedures to quantify and cost construction works, including the use of appropriate standard methods of measurement
Understanding of the requirements to provide and obtain Insurance, Bonds and Warranties
Proficiency in administration, writing, numeracy, IT and MS Office
People management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
Proven ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
Enthusiasm and results focus, with an ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
Effective negotiation skills with both internal and external customers
