Responsibilities:

1. Work with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering (OME) teams and act as a focal point for providing day-to-day technical integrity and engineering support for Process Containment Equipment (PCE) and piping integrity to ensure safe and reliable operations.

2. Perform or lead evaluations of inspection reports and metallurgical results and corrosion data to provide short and long-term solutions for continuous improvement of asset integrity and reliability by adopting sound engineering judgment, experience and best practices.

3. Interface with specialty (discipline) engineering, reliability, maintenance, operations and safety to conduct technical integrity assessments and failure analysis to resolve complex or chronic issues related to PCE and piping integrity and corrosion.

4. Conduct or lead Fitness-For-Service (FFS) studies.

5. Evaluate inspection and corrosion data, investigate failures and devise engineered solutions to proactively improve process plant equipment and critical systems integrity.

6. Use effective tools to conduct RCA, failure analysis and assessments on PCE and piping to continually improve mechanical integrity and reliability.

7. Adopt proven methodologies to assess or lead assessments of systems and programs to ensure sustained technical integrity of fixed assets.

8. Provide mechanical integrity and inspection expertise in support of PCE and piping repair, restoration and modification in support of engineering and EH&S studies, design reviews, projects quality and incident investigations.

9. Lead or participate in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) assessments, coordinate the required resources and ensure application of the latest and proven tools to optimize equipment inspection/testing schedule, intervals and procedures.

10. Develop and maintain mechanical integrity and inspection standards, manuals, methodologies, work processes, procedures and enabling tools and systems.

11. Use long-term cost of ownership and integrity engineering principles to provide equipment integrity data to the technical resource networks for evaluation of equipment and vendor performance and modifications.

12. Develop, review and update PCE and piping equipment strategy and registration documents.

13. Serve as a technical resource in mechanical integrity and corrosion; work across site work processes; network broadly with the technical community, and identify opportunities and priorities of technology

14. Support procurement and contracting in the technical evaluation of vendors/suppliers to ensure the successful development of scope and requirements.
