Application Specialist – SAP Finance | Enterprise IT | Dubai

Overview of the Role:

The SAP Finance Consultant is responsible for leading the implementation and support for SAP Finance solutions across Al Futtaim entities. He will identify integration points with the wider finance and business function to ensure that interdependencies are identified and considered when developing and implementing finance solutions as per best practice scenarios.

It is also expected from IT Business Partner to provide domain expertise and collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve common goals and deliverables.

What Will You Do

There will be a strong emphasis on leveraging SAP Financials, Treasury, Ariba, Open Text and Consolidation capabilities to deliver business solutions and benefits to the group. Although the primary focus of the role will be on financial solutions, there is an expectation to understand and support integration with automotive, retail and real estate industry solutions implementation as well.

Required skills to be successful:

The candidate should have expert functional and configuration knowledge in all areas of SAP FI/CO, Withholding tax, VAT and Treasury modules.
In-depth working knowledge in FICO implementations, data migrations, rollouts, upgrades and distributed architecture environment
Expert working knowledge in S/4HANA Finance
Understand dependency between FI and CO and Integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, DBM, HR, PS and BI) and external applications.
Strong business process knowledge stretching beyond SAP functionality in the Automotive (IS-Auto), Treasury, Engineering, Trading & Retail Industries (IS-Retail).
Understands delivery within a context of possible constraints (e.g., cost, schedule) and able to operate effectively within those constraints.
Proficient in design, deliver and manage the customized ABAP solutions and interfaces with 3rd party systems.
Manage the activities of data extractions, explaining the conversion process, defining data requirements, and working with the business team to correct data in their legacy systems and prepare for the data conversion cycle.
Following documentation standard as the SAP best practice scenario
Ability to work with data migration tools LSMW, eCAAT, Customized programs, Microsoft Excel and an appetite for learning more
Experience in tool such as Alteryx, MS Power BI will be a plus
Experience in RE-FX module & IFRS16
Integration knowledge with various satellite system including interfaces.
SAP Activate / Agile project delivery experience
Positive attitude with Solution delivery
Design Thinking Capabilities with Agile mindset
Leading SAP Finance Governance standardizing the Finance solution across the group
Skill of escalation management and monitoring
Conduct Training for onboarding new business partner and monitor the performance of 2-4 group of business partner

What equips you for the role:

College or University degree in Accounting/Information Technology or a related discipline
Minimum of (7) years of experience in the design, configuration, testing, migration, debugging, delivery and support of SAP FICO processes, and 3 full SAP project life cycles of significant size, scope and complexity
Expertise in the Finance data migration (such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset accounting, Profit center planning data, associated master data objects and configuration tasks).
Experience with and understanding of criticalities in the Data migration activities.
Knowledge of using SAP Solution Manager for managing projects and change management
