Safe Homes Project Manager
Mission of the position:
Under the leadership of the SOS Children’s Programme Director, the Safehouse Programme Manager coordinates the implementation of the programme in the three location in line with the “Vision, Mission, Values”, the brand and approved strategies, policies, guidelines of the organization, and national legislation. She/ he is responsible for coordinating the overall process of day-to-day implementation of the program at both the Safe House and the Community Center in addition to Dar Alwefaq in Amman Irbid and Aqaba. She/ he supports in building a strong network of partner organizations and builds positive relationships with beneficiaries. She/He is responsible to coordinate strongly with the team in the programme unit. She/he reports to the National programs director.
Main clients:
· Beneficiaries of the programme.
· NPD and programme staff at the national office
· Village clinical staff.
Key performance areas and main responsibilities:
Programme Development and Management.
- Follow up on the implementation of the safe house program activities in line with the SOS Children’s Villages Programme Policy and related international and national SOS policies, strategies, quality standards, and guidelines.
- Follow up on the Response to the needs of the target group and contributes to the development of sustainable social support systems.
- Follow up with the team home assignments sheet, signed receipts and attendance sheet and sessions reports of clients.
- Facilitates the development of a comprehensive programme service package in cooperation with the team.
- Regularly reports on safehouse activities, and progress towards targets to NPD and relevant National Office functions and/or child protection authorities as required by national legislation.
- Documents and shares good practices and lessons learned within the programme unit to support organizational learning.
- Follow up and Coordinates with relevant stakeholders on the status and receipt of beneficiaries that will reside in the Safe houses.
- Follow up on the scheduling, sessions, and activities for the program.
- Follow up on the services within the village for children residing in the Safe Houses.
- Prepare and compile the required reports in coordination with the programs team
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Ensures quality management within the program and implements the recommendation from national advisors.
- Ensures that proper monitoring and evaluation system is put in place and applied in coordination with the national M&E coordinator.
- Implements and updates the programme database, monitors data entry quality, and issues database reports for management.
Financial and administrative management
- Implements financial and administrative procedures within the programme unit in accordance with defined policies, guidelines, and standards and in consultation with financial support staff.
- Supports NPD during the budgeting process in the location.
- Monitors budget expenditures in the programme unit, in order to ensure that funds are properly used and in line with the annual plan and budget.
- Continually looks for ways to provide quality services in a cost-effective manner.
- Day-to-day money flow management and petty cash of the program .
- Follows-up house maintenance IN COORDINATION with the village maintenance staff.
General tasks :
- Attends all relevant cluster meetings.
- Follow up on the beneficiaries’ list and registration form and share it with project team and follow the project SOPs.
- Ensures beneficiaries are respected and properly cared for.
- Deals with complaints or issue related to project activities and clients.
Child Safeguarding (CS)
- Is responsible to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and protecting children and young people from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination
- Carries out CS risk assessment within his/her area of work and ensures that relevant actions are put in place to mitigate the existing and possible CS risks.
- Ensures a strong focus on CS prevention.
- Is responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation, or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the CS team at programme level and/or to the respective line manager
