Business Planning Analyst
Job Title: Analyst, Business Planning
Location: Abu Dhabi
JOB PURPOSE:
Analyze all aspects of the fuel retail business performance data for the assigned market (results, plans,
execution, design and organization) and provide comprehensive reports to support strategic management
decision making and contribute to the achievement of continuous operational excellence within Fuel Retail.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Collaborate with Retail Management to identify the business needs and understand the business
processes in order to facilitate the effective development of required business solutions.
Develop functional specifications for business processes and report according to user requirements
and standards and share with Management to facilitate review and implementation of initiatives.
Assist the business in defining initiatives, including defining their objective, conducting cost benefit
analysis, determining operational feasibility studies etc to facilitate the development of a
comprehensive business case.
Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas of
unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly, and potential performance
improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Develops standard procedures to manage and maintain business operational and financial
objectives.
Collect and assess data from a variety of internal and external sources and present the same to the
senior management to facilitate decision making.
Perform initial research on identified investment initiatives and prepare financial models as per
standard processes/agreed methodology, under the guidance of the Manager in order to facilitate
accurate evaluation of economic performance/risk assessment.
Keep abreast of new regulations/ policies that may affect the investments and proactively carry out
research in to prevailing market trends / strategies and strengthen market intelligence of team in order
to facilitate management decision-making in determining market opportunities and development
metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management or equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
6 years of experience, including at least 3 years in retail development within retail operations of oil
and gas in the region.
Communication and influencing skills
