Médecins Sans Frontieres is running a reconstructive surgery program in Amman, which opened in 2006, is giving access to reconstructive surgery (orthopedic, plastic and maxilo-facial) to war wounded people providing comprehensive health cares, MSF aims at identifying and referring patients from neighboring countries (Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and other countries with conflicts) then ensuring their medical follow-up after discharge.
Médecins Sans Frontières Reconstructive Surgery program in Amman and is seeking recruitment (1) Medical Doctors.
THE JOB
Provide outpatient and/or inpatient medical care to patients/beneficiaries according to adapted and up-dated medical knowledge, MSF protocols, values and universal hygiene standards to improve the patients’ health conditions.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply medical knowledge and skills to diagnosis and prevention
- Prescribe relevant treatment according to MSF guidelines and protocols
- Ensure a medical follow-up of quality and if necessary (and possible) refer to other health facilities
- Apply hygiene standards in all medical activities
- Keep informed the patient and his family about any development
- Collaborate with nurses and team supervisor in indicating the needs in medical equipment and drugs
- Responsible of in-patients, coordinates activities around patients in the ward.
- Ensure the systematic and organized follow up of previous hospitalized patients in OPD
PROFILE
- Recognized medical doctor diploma/degree is required
- MOH license to work in Jordan is required
- Registration with the Jordan Medical Association is required
- Written and verbal fluency in English and Arabic is required
- 2 years’ experience in known Hospital, preferably in a surgical ward for orthopaedic plastic, and/or
Maxillofacial surgeries
- Experience in the medical management of chronic osteomyelitis cases (including the required
Antibiotic protocols and safe administration for each infection) is preferred
- Experience in pain management protocols including neuropathic pain management is preferred
WORK LOCATION: Amman
CONTRACT: One candidate with full time contract, duration for (6) months renewable.
Probable start date: 01/12/2022

One candidate with full time contract, duration for (4) months as it’s for temporary replacement.
One candidate with part time contract (50% activity rat), duration for (3) months, renewable.
