ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partnering and Communication
- Foster and maintain partnering relationships with a range of stakeholders within global MSD colleagues to ensure appropriate engagement, support and communication of the established learning and development & advocacy plan.
- Foster and manage existing relationships with global MSD to keep key stakeholders informed, communicate needs and to leverage available learning resources.
- Take the lead in drafting and disseminating communication material to raise and intensify awareness about MSD’s learning and development plan.
- Support staff capability building through assessment of current and future training needs, working to understand the needs and then organize development solutions which equip people with the skills and knowledge required to meet current and future challenges, and reach the required audience addressing the intended learning gaps.
- Work under MSD Communications lead to promote a Learning Culture through proactive sharing of Learning Courses, Knowledge Management and other creative methods.
Project Management, Coordination and Tracking
- Be the owner of the established learning implementation plan including reviewing, updating and monitoring its progress.
- Act as lead in coordinating and tracking the successful execution of the defined learning & advocacy initiatives considering budgetary and timely requirements.
- Oversee and escalate identified challenges, where applicable, that could hinder the implementation of the learning and development plan.
- Track participation of and feedback about learning solutions to capture lessons learnt.
- Support in design and implementation of a robust learning and development plan from the learning needs leveraging available resources and expertise to build a learning culture.
Vendor management
- Support managing the relationships with learning vendors which are identified as appropriate partners for the development and/or execution of a learning solutions
- Ensure quality delivery from learning vendors throughout the engagement to ensure the effectiveness of the learning solution and act as the focal point to escalate any issues as required
- Educate and guide vendors on the WFP context, needs to maximise the impact of the learning solution
Coach and Guide
- Coach and guide, where applicable, stakeholders within MSD to transfer basic knowledge and awareness about learning solutions
- Act as the focal point to receive additional learning and development needs and objectives identified by different stakeholders
- Ensure that the functionalities of WFP’s learning platform – WeLearn – are well understood
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
- Successfully maintained and intensified awareness of launched learning journey among relevant stakeholders throughout MSD globally
- Successfully implemented learning solutions within time and financial plan
- Successfully managed vendor relationships
- Captured feedback, lessons learnt and recommendations that enable leadership and HR team to evaluate learning journey and to make decisions for future learning initiatives
- Up-to-date project management plan which enables an effective planning, tracking and monitoring and which builds a solid basis for future learning initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: |
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, Human Resources, Adult Learning, Business Administration, Pedagogy, Education or related field |

Languages: |
Working knowledge (proficiency level C) of English and ideally intermediate knowledge (level B) of another UN language (Spanish, French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages) is desired. |
