KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Under the supervision of the World Food Programme (WFP’s) Program Policy Officer with support from technical units in the WFP Regional Bureau Bangkok, the Information Management Officer’s main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Coordinate closely with and support the preparation of reports for the Regional Pacific Food Security Cluster Coordination team (WFP and FAO) and respond to the Cluster Membership’s information management needs.

Coordinate closely with and support the preparation of reports for the Pacific Regional Cash Working Group Coordinator and respond to information management needs of the Pacific Regional Cash Working Group.

Act as an Informational Management focal point for the Regional Pacific Food Security Cluster and Pacific Regional Cash Working Group.

Provide IM services to cluster and working group for key decision making. These services will include data collection, collation, analysis, mapping and visualization, and dissemination processes relevant to the needs of the cluster. This may require support for the enhancement of additional capacity through remote guidance and managing, organizing, and delivering these activities.

Identify and analyse secondary data and information resources for rapid onset emergency response.

Assist in the design of simple and easy-to-use Food Security and/or Cash and Voucher assistance data collection forms adapted to country needs in consultation with the local authorities, providers of Food Security/ Cash and Voucher assistance and other key stakeholders.

Create and maintain contact directories of Regional Pacific Food Security Cluster, Pacific Regional Cash Working Group partners and National Cash Working Groups.

Design and update the “Who does What Where When for Whom (5Ws)” database and derivative products, such as dashboards, and maps (both static and interactive), using relevant mapping and data analysis and visualisation software(s).

Provide orientation / training on the IM tools to partners for enhanced reporting capacities.

Support the rPFSC and RPCWG Coordinators on sector wide advocacy and information products, including newsletters, stories, assessment reports, piolot actions and studies.

Coordinate as the rPFSC and RPCWG focal point with partners to report their activities for the advocacy and information products.

Support the needs and gap identification for the sector; contributing to facilitating and agreeing on boundaries/benchmarks to enable prioritization within the sector.

Update regularly Regional Food Security Cluster, Pacific Regional Cash Working Group, and National Cash Working Group webpages, where relevant news, documents and products can be uploaded and circulated.

Serve as the rPFSC and RPCWG focal point at the IMWG platform in disaster time.

Serve as the rPFSC and RPCWG focal point and contribute to the Pacific Humanitarian Team (PHT) led inter-sectoral response activities, including assessment, analysis, gaps, contingency planning, response planning, monitoring and reporting, representing at the Information Management Working Group (IMWG) as required.

Contribute to sectorwide capacity building initiatives on IM related aspects to both rPFSC and RPCWG.

Perform other tasks as required/ directed by the supervisor.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualification
-
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, management, project management, information technology, communication, journalism, public relations, or another related discipline.

Bachelor’s degree with four years of professional experience or a master’s degree with two years of professional experience.
Experience
Mandatory
-
Experience working with Illustrator and/or Power-bi or other software
-
Experience in coordinating and facilitating general meetings
-
Experience conducting training and facilitating workshops
-
Progressive responsibility in information management.
Desirable
-
Professional experience in information management of international humanitarian development.
-
Relevant experience in geospatial software such as Cash or ArcGIS with knowledge of applying data-driven analysis to different contexts and creating mapping products.

Understanding of relevant national and UN institutional frameworks
-
Knowledge of UN operational programmes and policy commitments, with WFP programmatic and partnership experience
-
Knowledge of humanitarian emergency preparedness and response will be an advantage.
