JOB PURPOSE
FFA activities in AJK office are in full swing, therefore, we need additional position to support as an activity focal person to bring more pace into it. The position will be vital in activity database management, supporting CP and enhancing their capacity. Preference will be given to local incumbents belonging to AJK. To support the implementation of BISP Stunting prevention activities at district level.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
This position is based in Field Office Muzaffarabad, and the job holder report to the Head of Provincial Office or the designated official.
At this level, job holders are responsible for the completion of a range of specialized and/or standardized processes and activities requiring some interpretation of standard guidelines and practices. Job holders are able to recommend a course of action to staff at various levels and may allocate tasks to other support staff. They work under minimum supervision, perform basic analyses and compile reports to support information consistency and smooth implementation of programmes/projects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
1. Perform standardised processes and activities within the specific technical area of work with wider programme policies and guidelines
2. Provide project management and/or general office support following established targets and WFP’s policies and procedures.
3. Liaise cooperating partners and counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
4. Within the specific area of responsibility, compile data and support analysis and preparation of reports (e.g. food for assistance (FFA/cash) needs, resource utilization, programme status, performance) in order to support operational decision-making.
5. Perform accurate, timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work (e.g. FFA/cash and vulnerability assessments) following corporate standards and guidelines.
6. Be the focal person to ensure output/outcome related database management for AJK provincial office livelihoods programmes.
7. Provide support to CP staff in developing standardized data collection templates, guide CP data focal staff provide on-job guidance to the staff for addressing data inconsistencies/anomalies, data analysis and producing user-friendly reports.
8. In coordination with CBT focal person at CO level support the management of beneficiary data eligible for cash/mobile banking. This includes but is not limited to: i) Ensure data is submitted in good quality within the required templates of WFP ii) review of all data submitted by partners and internal team for any anomalies linked to all relevant fields within the submitted templates and cleaning it accordingly, iii) flagging overlaps in assistance or duplicates and iv) other data cross checks as required.
9. Update the output/outcome level database on regular basis and support FFA team in producing info graphics and project output summaries for reporting.
10. Work and exchange information with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
11. Support communication and activities with local partners, agencies, NGOs and government institutions.
12. Act as a point of contact for the resolution of general operational queries requesting assistance where necessary.
13. Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP is able to quickly respond and deploy needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis.
14. Conduct field visits to oversee project activities and ensure quality implementation.
15. Any other task assigned by supervisor.This section is optional to describe additional responsibilities & knowledge required for the specific job.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of higher secondary school certificate, preferably supported by a university degree with database management/knowledge.
Language: Excellent oral and written English and Urdu. Knowledge of local language will be an added advantage.
DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE
- 5 Years of progressively responsible work experience in Programme related activities particularly livelihood and data management.
- Proficiency in the usage of ICT applications and software on mobile devices and computers.
- Has facilitated communication with technical teams (i.e. nutrition, VAM, etc.).
- Has contributed to implementation of programmes.
- Has observed or assisted with policy discussions
