Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing the alumni program and managing the association with the alumni group.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops, coordinates, and evaluates programs and projects to promote alumni relations.
  • Liaise with healthcare facilities in Qatar to identify career opportunities for alumni.
  • Creates, modifies, and updates the alumni database and ensures that the information is up to date.
  • Supports educational programs designed to connect alumni through academic channels.
  • Plans, coordinates, and attends events and other activities, which include WCMQ alumni, to build a professional network.
  • Identifies, cultivates, and stewards ex-students for volunteering programs and permanent opportunities on the campus.
  • Identifies methods to onboard alumni as volunteers to support various education needs on the campus and outreach programs.
  • Drafts, updates, and maintains policies related to alumni affairs.
  • Monitors the alumni relations spending and budgets for various activities and programs.
  • Produces reports, proposals, and analyses for management, including areas of programmatic responsibility, periodic reports to reflect relevant data gathering and analysis, and post-event reports and recommendations.
  • Manages communication devices to encourage alumni engagement and address alumni needs, including website, social media accounts, newsletters and other methods.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on programs which can engage alumni through multiple channels.
  • Collaborates with other divisions across WCM-Q to share information on events and engagement opportunities related to alumni.
  • Serves on committees relating to alumni relations and serves as a liaison between the college and the alumni community.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

المهارات

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in any administration or related discipline with 6 – 7 years of experience, preferably in an alumni office. Experience in a medical school setup is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced people skills in cultivating and managing long-term professional relationships in a multicultural environment.
  • Familiarity with postgraduate medical specialty training in the US and Qatar is highly desirable.
  • Ability to plan, organize and facilitate events.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and preferably in Arabic.
  • Influences and motivates constituencies which could span multiple organizational boundaries.
  • Acts independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of finance and budgeting with good data management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
