What will you do?
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Policy Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
• Manage new dashboards in WFP analytics for Country Office (CO) operational tracking tool to support field offices and CO technical units and activity managers to ensure data quality and availability in the corporate systems for decision making by senior management.
• Provide data input and assist in the preparation of ad-hoc, weekly, monthly, quarterly internal and external reports
• Consolidate planned and actual distribution data reported by the Area Offices on a monthly basis, ensuring consistency and accuracy of beneficiary, Cash-based and In-Kind data
• Provide technical support in managing daily updates of beneficiary figures including for emergency responses and operation scale-up.
• Liaise with field offices to manage distribution plan and validate data
• Conduct rigorous data quality checks on data collected and liaise with other units to resolve any issues or obtain additional information required.
• Provide technical support to updating monthly distribution plans and partners report submission status reports of Area Offices (AOs)
• Prepare operational and implementation updates reports as required.
• Provide technical support, training and guidance to WFP and partners’ staff as required.
• Maintain accurate records and updated files
• Perform any other duties as required.
Do you meet the minimum requirements?
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post – secondary certificate in one or more of the following disciplines: Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Development Studies, International Affairs, Economics, Social Sciences, or any other field relevant to International Development Assistance is desirable.
Experience: At least six years of progressively responsible support experience including at least one year in accounting, transport, insurance, statistics, operations, or another related field.
Knowledge & Skills: Experience utilising computers including word processing, spreadsheets, and other software packages. Has experience collecting and monitoring financial data on projects and programmes.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English language is a requirement.
